YOUR MISSION

The Content Lead and Copywriter is one of the creative unicorns of the Marketing & Audience team. They will be responsible for creating cross-platform content, as well as collaborating with the digital content and marketing teams. They will act as a content leader within the organization and lend their wordsmithing and content creation talents to multiple projects. This person will work closely with a cross-functional team that combines various creative and operational players, including other content creators such as designers, UXD as well as  developers  and project managers.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Develop original content, including social media posts, short copy, features, newsletters, etc
  • Work closely with the Marketing Strategy Lead and other marketing stakeholders to develop compelling content plans for multiple projects
  • Participate in client briefings and brainstorming sessions, as needed
  • Work closely with video production teams to produce content assets outlined in the content plan 
  • Work on website and promotional copywriting 
  • Work with internal team and freelancers to produce content as needed
  • Work in collaboration with the marketing strategy lead and the business development team to ideate and produce various partner content

 

YOUR SKILLS

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
  • 6+ years’ experience in an agency, newsroom or other media environment 
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, excellent content judgement and attention to detail
  • Ability to develop, implement and maintain an efficient workflow
  • Familiarity with best practices of multi-platform content including SEO, social media, video and broadcast, plus a proficiency using multimedia tools
  • Bilingual English-French

 

Full-time permanent position, start date as soon as possible. 

Remote work because of the pandemic. 

Location: Montreal preferred, but will consider remote candidates in Canada.
