In response to the global pandemic, we’ve rapidly expanded our digital capabilities. They include live streaming, video on demand, video feed management, content delivery, registration, networking, audience interaction tools, sponsorship integration, and analytics and reporting.  Now, we are evolving our digital MVP into an Event Experience Platform that can connect 1 million+ participants online, and we are growing our Digital Technology Team to help get us there.

As our Senior Full Stack Software Developer, you will play a critical role in developing our Digital Event Experience Platform.

Reporting to our Director of Architecture & Development, you’ll contribute to building new key platform features and functionality like breakout rooms,  recommendation engine and video chat networking systems. You’ll help mentor entry-level developers. You’ll contribute to evolving our coding standards and best practices, optimize workflows, and help choose new tech, tools and systems.

  • Collaborate on product, process, and toolset decisions for projects that will drive the business for the next 3-5 years
  • Design, implement and maintain well-tested, scalable, and high-performance code using React and Symfony frameworks.
  • Create and maintain npm, Node, and webpack builds
  • Facilitate technical conversations with other developers and help steer technical decisions
  • Offer constructive and respectful feedback via code reviews
  • Assist other developers in resolving or removing blockers they might encounter
  • Research and promote design patterns and practices that fit our technical challenges
  • Write automated unit and integration tests and build tools to assist in testing various aspects of our platform
  • Collaborate with DevOps and QA to ensure quality in our builds and releases and that our CI/CD pipeline fits our growing needs



  • 5+ years of professional experience as a developer
  • Fluent in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • In-depth knowledge and experience building with React and Redux
  • Exposure to tools like Node, NPM, GraphQL, and Webpack
  • Working experience in at least one PHP framework, preferably Laravel or Symfony
  • Comfortable with backend/API development and RESTful APIs
  • Deep knowledge of MySQL, including query optimization and performance tuning
  • Hands-on experience with build and deployment solutions (Jenkins, Google CI, etc.)
  • Comfortable working in a Linux environment
  • Coached and impacted the personal and professional growth of other developers


Full-time permanent position, start date as soon as possible. 

Remote work because of the pandemic. 

Location: Montreal preferred, but will consider remote candidates in Canada.
